Can I use my prescribed medication with Breathe Mist?

Breathe Mist is designed for the medications your doctor already prescribes. Nothing about your treatment changes.

Tested with the most common nebulizer medications:

  • Bronchodilators: Albuterol (salbutamol), ipratropium, and combinations like DuoNeb.
  • Corticosteroids: Budesonide (Pulmicort), beclomethasone, and fluticasone.
  • Other medications: Acetylcysteine, ambroxol, gentamicin, and sodium cromoglicate.

Tested with suspensions, not just solutions.

Always use medication as prescribed by your doctor, at the dosage they direct. Not intended for use with pentamidine.

What can I put in my Breathe Mist?

You can use your prescribed nebulizer medication or sterile 0.9% saline.

No prescription? Sterile saline works on its own. It helps loosen mucus, hydrate dry airways, and ease irritation. At a concentration of 0.9%, saline matches your body’s salt concentration, so it absorbs instead of passing straight through.

Never nebulize tap water—it isn’t sterile.

Is it rechargeable, and how long does the battery last?

Yes. Breathe Mist has a built-in rechargeable battery and charges via USB-C. A full charge takes approximately one hour and provides about 90 minutes of treatment time.

A typical treatment takes around 10–15 minutes. To leave a comfortable buffer, we recommend planning for four full treatments per charge.

Once charged, you can use it completely cordless.

How is it different from my regular nebulizer?

Compared with a bulky countertop nebulizer, Breathe Mist is pocket-sized, cordless, and quiet. Its rechargeable battery means you don’t need to sit beside a power outlet during treatment.

How do I clean my Breathe Mist?

Use the built-in Self-Clean Mode after every treatment to help flush medication residue from the mesh.

  1. Empty any leftover medication and add approximately 4 mL of room-temperature distilled or purified water to the tank.
  2. Hold the power button for three seconds to activate Self-Clean Mode.
  3. Let it run for 30–60 seconds, then press the power button to switch it off.
  4. Empty the remaining water and let the tank air dry completely.
How long does a treatment take?

A typical treatment takes around 10–15 minutes, depending on the medication and the amount of solution in the tank.

Treatment times can vary, so follow the instructions provided by your doctor for your prescribed medication.
